Question
What is the ruling on magic when utilized for reconciling a husband and wife?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
Resorting to magic or sorcery is impermissible, whatever the purpose, good or evil. Magic is a major destructive sin and it is impermissible to learn, teach or practise magic, because this was forbidden by the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam. He warned us against it, saying that if a person did so, they would become a disbeliever.
