Fatwa CenterWants to trim some straight up hairs of her eyebrows
Question
Asalamalaikum, Earlier I used to thread my eyebrows but after knowing it is Haram to do so I have completely stopped doing it.I would like to know is it permissible to trim a few hairs(3-4 of them) in the eyebrows as they stand out.It is just trimming the ends that stand out?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
First of all, we thank you for stopping plucking out your eyebrows after you became aware that this act is forbidden. This is evidence that you fear Allaah and you are keen to obey Him and keen to refrain from disobeying Him. Hence, we ask Allaah to make you steadfast on His Right Path and enable you to do good deeds.
In our view [Islamweb], it is not permissible to take anything from the hair of the eyebrows even if they are straight up unless there is a real deformation of one's creation. For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 87776.
