Question:

Is it permissible to sacrifice a ram that has one of its testicle very weak?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

The majority of scholars believe that it is permissible to sacrifice the castrated animals and the animals with contused testicles. Given this, it is more permissible to sacrifice an animal that has only one testicle or a one with a weak testicle.

Consequently, it is absolutely permissible to sacrifice such an animal, because it was narrated that Abu Raafi' may Allaah be pleased with him said that the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, sacrificed two white and castrated rams. [Ahmad]

It was also narrated on the authority of ‘Aa’ishah may Allaah be pleased with him that the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, sacrificed two great, white, horned and castrated rams. [Ahmad]

An-Nawawi, may Allaah Have mercy upon him, said, “The animal whose testicles are contused or removed is a valid sacrifice, as maintained by the Shaafi‘i scholars, and this is the sound opinion

Allaah Knows best.
