Question:

Is it permissible for me to give a share of the meat of my Udh-hiyah to a heretic innovator who holds a belief against that of Ahlus-Sunnah? This man is poor and I do not know him personally. I just know that he belongs to such a [deviant] sect.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

There is no harm in giving him from the meat of the Udh-hiyah based on the general proofs, which include the Hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah may Allaah be pleased with him reading: "There is a reward for feeding any living being." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Allaah Knows best.
