Question:

how shall a muslim practice daawa in times of calamities meaning in revolutions and disorder

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

Da’wah (calling people to Allaah) during such days is like Da’wah at any other days where the general etiquettes of Da’wah should be met; we have indeed discussed some of them in Fataawa 21186, 84348 and 7583.

However, it should be added here that a Muslim should be reminded of protecting the blood of his fellow Muslim, as there are many Ahaadeeth in this regard among which is the saying of the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ): ''All things of a Muslim are sacred (inviolable) for his Muslim brother: his blood, his wealth and his honor.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]; and the saying of the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ): ''The property of a Muslim is not lawful (for anyone) except with his consent.” [Ahmad and Abu Daawood]

Similarly, the public and private property should be safeguarded as it is sacred and it is not permissible to transgress it without right; the previous Ahaadeeth also confirm this.

Allaah Knows best.
