Islam does not contradict sound human nature

Question:

Does Islam contradict the logical matters in life?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

Islam came to fight everything that is illogical; it fought Jaahiliyyah, (pre-Islamic ignorance) polytheism and evil customs. It also guided people to everything that is logical, good and merciful. Furthermore, it guided them to the way of reform and happiness in this world and in the Hereafter. Islam called people to a religion about which reasonable persons cannot debate in terms of its comprehensiveness and absolute efficiency in leading humanity to happiness and uprightness. Allaah The Almighty called Islam the correct religion to which people are endowed with a natural inclination. Allaah the Almighty Says (what means): {So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the fitrah [nature] of Allaah upon which He has created [all] people. No change should there be in the creation of Allaah. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know.}[Quran 30:30]

Being a religion that complies with sound human nature, Islam, including its rites and legislation, does not contradict logic and sound fair minds.

There is a lot of evidence that Islam complies with sound human nature. The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) established a criterion for distinguishing between good and evil via ease in the heart. If one feels comfortable about doing some act and does not hate it if others see his deed, this is evidence of the permissibility of his deed. On the other hand, when one is uncomfortable about doing some act and would hate it if others saw him doing it, this is evidence of the impermissibility of his deed.

An-Nawwaas ibn Sam‘aan may Allaah be pleased with him narrated that the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said that good morals were part of faith, and that sins make man feel uneasy and that they would hate to be seen doing them.

And Allaah Knows best.
