Impermissibility of marrying Druze

Question:

I am a Muslim girl. A Druze man whom I love and want to marry proposed to me. Is it permissible to marry him? I want to have information about their creed and everything that is relevant to their life and worship.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

The Druze faith is based on many false creeds and thoughts, which contradict the Islamic creed. Accordingly, it is impermissible for you to marry this man, as long as he follows the creed of this sect. Moreover, you should detach your heart from thinking about this matter. You should supplicate Allaah The Almighty to grant you someone better than him in terms of religion and manners. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allaah knows, while you know not.} [Quran 2:216]

Allaah Knows best.
