She Suffers From Whispers about Divorce

19-4-2018 | IslamWeb

Question:

This is a follow up question 2696774 to my previous question which I am waiting for the response. If someone talks hypothetically about divorce using the pronouns I and you while referring to a hypothetical couple for the purpose of explaining divorce, What is the ruling on that type of scenario. Jazakallah for your help.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

That statement has no effect on the marital bond.

Since you suffer from whispers, we warned you in a previous answer to your question and told you to avoid talking about divorce or asking questions about it because this strengthens the whispers, which is contrary to what is Islamically required of you (to totally avoid them and endeavor to seek treatment). Otherwise, you will suffer from misery, doubt and anxiety.

Allah knows best.
