Singing for suffering Palestinians

Question:

Can women sing for the suffering of Palestinians?

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

As for Shari'a ruling concerning women's singing, please read our Fatwa: 81239.
Concerning singing for Palestinians, we state that what our Palestinian brothers suffer at the hand of the Zionist occupants does not give a Muslim woman the right to sing in a manner so that men see and hear her. Then, it is expected that a woman will not sing in public, since she is banned from making Azan or reciting the Qur'an in public. It is better and more proper for her to pray to Allah on behalf of her brothers in Palestine and to support them with money, but her singing will not satisfy the hungry, nor relieve sadness, or harm an enemy.
Allah knows best.
