Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

First of all, we thank you for your concern to know what is permissible and what is forbidden and we ask Allaah to enable you to follow the truth and stay steadfast on it after knowing it, and avoid what is forbidden.

For the ruling on playing music and using musical instruments, please refer to Fataawa: 81545 and 81239.

So you are obliged to avoid all kinds of musical instruments; the fact that you are gifted in playing music does not make it permissible for you to use them or listen to music. Rather you have to use your talent in reciting the Quran, acquiring religious knowledge and teaching it, and calling to Allaah, but it is permissible for you to make Anasheed (Islamic Rhymes) without using musical instruments. For more benefit, please refer to Fataawa: 8735184642 and 88641.

Allaah Knows best.
