Using skin of sacrificial animal in the Masjid

Question

In our district, there is a new Masjid without rugs, and the board of the Masjid requested us to provide them with the skins of our Udh-hiyah (sacrificial animal for ‘Eed) this year. What is the Sharee‘ah ruling on this, knowing that some Imaams here ruled this to be disliked? Please advise.
Fatwa
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.
It is an act of Sunnah that the Muslim eats, gives away and gifts from his Udh-hiyah. This includes its meat, its skin and other parts. Therefore, it is an act of Sunnah to give the skin of the Udh-hiyah as charity and there is no harm in using them as rugs for the Masjid.
Allah Knows best.
