US drone strike kills six people in North Waziristan

A US drone attack killed at least six fighters and injured two others in North Waziristan on Monday, Pakistani security officials said.

The attack targeted fighters sleeping in a compound in the Haider Khel village of Mir Ali district in North Waziristan, 25 kilometers east of the region’s main town of Miranshah.
More than 150 people have been killed since September 3.
The United States does not as a rule confirm drone attacks, but its military and the Central Intelligence Agency operating in Afghanistan are the only forces that deploy the pilotless aircraft in the region.
