    Israeli tank attack kills Gaza resident

    An Israeli tank shell killed a Palestinian and wounded two others close to the border fence in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, medical officials at a Gaza hospital said.

    Residents of the town of Beit Hanoun in the northern part of the Gaza Strip said the three men had been scouring a field for scrap near the border and had been hit by shell fragments.
    Medics identified the dead man as Amjad al-Zaanin, a resident of Beit Hanoun.
