Thousands of people across the world have taken to the streets to express support for the anti-government demonstrations in Egypt as Egyptians continue the uprising in the country.
As the popular uprising against the government of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is continuing, demonstrations in Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Germany, France and the United States showed that they're fully behind the Egyptian uprising.
Similar demonstrations were also held in Jordan, Greece and other countries around the world.
The Egyptian protesters say they want President Mubarak to step down.
According to the latest reports, police opened fire on the protesters in the Egyptian capital city of Cairo, in the city of Beni Sueif, and in the port city of El-Arish, killing dozens of people.
At least 100 people have been killed and around two-thousand others wounded since the uprising began on Tuesday.
Tens of thousands of protesters have defied the extended curfew in major cities despite a serious warning from the army.
Meanwhile, the head of a prison in western Egypt was killed and thousands of prisoners escaped.
Looters broke into Cairo's famous Egyptian Museum. They ripped off the heads of two mummies and damaged small artifacts before being caught.
Many shops and stores have also been ransacked and residential buildings have been attacked. There are reportedly no signs of police preventing lootings.
The Egyptian cabinet formally submitted its resignation on Saturday after President Mubarak ordered the dismissal of his ministers in an attempt to quell the anti-government protests.
