I have to visit a long way (about 20 km) from my varsity to home. It is easier for me to use varsity bus otherwise it becomes tough for me to reach my home. But the problem is that the Varsity bus schedule overlaps the congregation time. such as jamat of zuhr held at 1.30 and the bus starts at 1.15 and reaches to my home at 1.45 and if I take the bus.. Assalaamu alaykum. In our area, whenever an imam makes a mistake, like standing after the second unit of prayer without sitting for Tashahhud or sitting for Tashahhud after the third one, people behind him make Takbeer (saying: Allahu Akbar [Allah is Most Great]), instead of Tasbeeh (saying: Sobhaan Allah [glory to Allah]) to make him aware. Is that.. More
Assalaamu alaykum. Please answer me directly without refering to another fatwa. If, after entering the masjid, I found that the imam makes clear major mistakes in Surat Al-Faatihah, as he is weak in recitation, while I know the correct recitation, should I join him or pray alone? Or should I join him first and then repeat the prayer? Praying alone while.. More
Assalaamu alaykum. I understand that the view adopted at islamweb regarding if the imam led the prayer without ablution is that only the imam has to make up for it, and not the congregation, according to some of the scholars. However, what is the evidence for those who say that the congregation must make up for it as well? I know that the hanafis say.. More
Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullaah. I joined a congregational pray to pray the Maghrib, which is a three-unit prayer; unfortunately, they were praying the ‘Ishaa’; I caught their last two units of prayer. What can I do?

Assalaamu alaykum. If a person is praying with the imam and while prostrating, he prolongs his prostration, even though the imam has gotten up for the second unit of prayer and has started reciting Al-Faatihah, so if that person gets up while the imam is reciting Al-Faatihah and catches up with him, is this delay considered opposing the Sunnah or a.. Is it permissible for anyone to pray at home during the daytime because he has acne on his face? I know that there are two opinions on the issue whether praying in congregation is obligatory, but I currently have this problem.

Assalaam alaykum. In my local mosque, the official imam said to some elderly people that if he comes late and does not make it at the time when the Iqaamah should be done, we should wait five minutes for him (before proceeding to perform the prayer). The problem is that those elderly people (who also have some kind of authority in the mosque) do not.. More
Assalalam alaykum, noble Brother. As a muslim leader, kindly help to bring the issue of the blatant use of sprays and perfumes in the Muslims among men during the prayers to the plight of asthmatic Muslims. We know that perfumes are allowed in the Sunahfor men, but some men ignorantly do use sprays and perfumes and jump into the prayers oblivious of.. More
Assalaamu alaykum. The majority of the scholars say that praying in congregation is a highly-regarded action of the Sunnah, but that it is not obligatory. This means that though one misses the reward for attending the congregation, one is not sinful. Please mention the evidence based on which the majority based their opinion.

Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu. There is only one mosque in my city. My house is ten minutes walking away from the mosque. At Fajr, the mosque is opened sometimes and sometimes closed. I cannot know whether it will be opened or closed before the prayer time. I oftentimes went to the mosque but could not pray because it was closed... More
When a person enters into a congregational prayer while the imam was in Tashahhud, what is the better thing to do for him once the imam says the Salaam? Can he say the salaam and join the second group who are just starting a new congregation, or must he continue with the first prayer by himself though he did not even catch one unit with the imam? May.. More
We know that one must fill up the gap in between the rows in the masjid and that it is not permissible to leave an empty place. So in a multi-storied masjid, if one floor is not filled totally, how could it be permissible to pray on the second or third floor? May Allah reward you with Paradise.

Assalaamu alaykum. Is it obligatory upon the imam to command those praying behind him to make the row perfect and straight and to fill the gaps before starting the prayer? And if those praying behind him do not make the row complete, will the imam be sinful?

Assalaamu alaykum. May Allah's blessing be upon you, I have a question that has been bothering me for quite some time regarding the prayer of the imam being considered void or null if those praying behind him dislike him. Is that true? If it is true, are there any Quranic verses or hadiths regarding this matter? Is the prayer of the imam still considered.. More
