Changing the wording of a hadeeth
Assalaam alaykum. During a discussion with a Christian, I referred to the hadith of the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam,that mentions that smiling to your brother is charity. The thing is is that I changed the word 'brother' to 'someone', so I said, "Smiling to someone is charity." My question is: does this constitute lying about the prophet?.. More

Inauthentic hadeeth about 'Umar ibn Al-Khattaab's woman in Paradise

Someone sent me a hadith qudsi (without any reference) that reads:

A false narration about Ibn 'Umar's divorce of his wife
Assalaamu alaykum. I read a narration in Tafseer Al-Qurtubi vol. 3 page 129 that says that Abdullah bin 'Umar had given his wife divorce thrice in one sitting and then the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, told himto take his wife back as it is only one. Is the chain of this particular narration sound? May Allaah reward you.

Why the Prophet's answers differed when asked about the best of the righteous deeds
Aslamualakaum. There are three hadiths: one: The best deed is praying on time. Two: The best deed is to do dua for oneselves. Three: The best deed is to give food. How do we relate these hadiths. Disliking honey is not against the Sunnah
