Question
Is a sin of a misdeed that is committed in Ramadhaan intensified?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
It is the bounty of Allaah The Almighty that sins of misdeeds are not multiplied like the rewards for good deeds are. However, sins of misdeeds may be intensified and entail more of a punishment if those misdeeds are committed at specific places or times, or places and times that have a special excellence in Islam.
