Question
There is a patient woman whose life with her husband is nothing but a series of endless problems. Once he told her that he entered a room in their house and found it black. What is the explanation for the problems she suffers from? What should she do?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
This woman should seek the help of Allaah the Almighty to rectify her affairs and the affairs of her husband and family. She should also supplicate to Allaah the Almighty frequently and seek refuge with Him, since all affairs are in His Hand.
This woman should also fortify her house by reciting the Quran and performing acts of worship and Thikr (mentionings remembrances of Allaah). In addition, she should purify her house from all sins and disobedient acts, as all these please Allaah the Almighty and defeat the plots of the devil.
Finally, we advise this woman to show even more patience, perform Istikhaarah (the guidance-seeking prayer) and consult righteous and wise people.
