No artificial womb can replace woman's womb

Question

Assalaamu alaykum. Sir, there is a thing called parturient pod ... an artificial womb of which they claim that babies can grow into by providing them with nutritions. Please, I am getting confused and am really damn sure that this cannot happen because the power of that is only with Allah. Nobody can do this thing except Him. Please guide me a little bit. Thank you.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

There is no artificial womb that can play the role of the real womb which Allah created for women and that is prepared to conceive the fertilization and shroud the stages of the fetus from sperm to birth.

As for the invention of an incubator in which the embryo grows after the pregnancy has been conceived in a real womb, then this is possible, and it does not contradict the fact that it is only Allah Who creates.

Allah is the Creator of the bird, which has no other creator than Allah, and Allah enabled man to make a machine to fly with it, but does making a machine to fly conflict with the fact that Allah created the bird? The answer is no. Similarly, Allah may enable man to make an incubator wherein a fetus is placed after it was created in the womb and then removed from it for one reason or another to continue its growth in that incubator, and all this happens with the Decree and Predisposition of Allah.

Allah knows best.
