The Prophet possessed ultimate noble manners, both innate and acquired

As for the ettiquettes of manners and gentleness, was the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, naturally blessed with them, or did he learn them from people and customs and then adopt them and thus perfect his character? Or is it so that he did not have to learn, and that he was blessed with them and the people learned from him? There are many good manners or human behaviors which are present at normal times but were not there at the time of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam. So if one says that the Prophet ,if he had seen it, would have adopted it, is this contary to Islamic belief, and does it constitute Kufr (disbelief)?


All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, reached the ultimate peak of every refined manner; no human being could ever reach his status in this regard. His Lord blessed him with the best of manners and the most noble traits, so he had the greatest share of them. He also trained himself to refine these manners and reach the highest levels of perfection, thus adhering to the teachings of the Quran as Allah, the Exalted, commanded him. Whenever his Lord gave him a command, he followed it, and whenever He forbade him from something, he avoided it, thus deserving the praise of his Lord in the verse: {And indeed, you are of a great moral character.} [Quran 68:4] In other words, he, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, reached the ultimate peak in both the innate and the acquired manners.

We do not know what you mean by the manners or behaviors present at normal time; you did not mention an example to clarify your point. If you mean the manners and behaviors that differ according to time, place, and traditions, then these are considered means rather than ends. If someone says that if the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, had seen it, he would have adopted it, this does not contradict Islamic beliefs and the speaker is not dispraised because of it, let alone accusing him of Kufr.

We advise you to beware of Waswaas (obsessive doubts) regarding accusations of Kufr; this may have evil consequences. A Muslim whose Islam is established with certainty cannot be declared a non-Muslim except with like certainty.
