Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

If you are asking whether or not this is a Hadeeth which is attributed to the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) then we are not aware of any Hadeeth with this meaning. Additionally, if you are asking about the soundness of the meaning of this statement and its validity, then this meaning has no basis and no foundation; rather, it is a mere presumption that is not substantiated with evidence. The Lord of Majesty gives money and offspring and prevents (some people from them), according to His Will and His Knowledge and Wisdom; Allah Says (what means): {To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He creates what he wills. He gives to whom He wills female [children], and He gives to whom He wills males. Or He makes them [both] males and females, and He renders whom He wills barren. Indeed, He is Knowing and Competent.} [Quran 42:49-50]

The same thing applies to what you mentioned about your husband; this is only a claim, it seems that your husband –if he actually said that –wants to raise the status of men and degrade the status of women. This statement, in addition to having no basis as we said, it is unnecessary; it is a pure evil without any benefit. What is the benefit for the husband to bother, trouble and cause nuisance to his wife by saying such statements? Indeed, Allah ordered the husband to treat his wife in a kind manner. Allah Says (what means): {And live with them in kindness.} [Quran 4:19]

As-Si’di may Allaah have mercy upon him said about the interpretation of the above verse: "The husband must be kind to his wife; he must keep good company with her, avoid harming her, be generous to her, and treat her well." [End of quote]

We advise you to be patient with your husband and supplicate Allah to rectify him and straighten his affairs. You should advise him in a gentle and soft manner hoping that he will come back to his sense.

You may also seek the help of those whom he would listen to if necessary.

Allah knows best.
