Unreliable Sites Talking About Hoor

Question

Aslaam alaikum shaikh I found this on an anti Islamic site called Wikiislam1. "Ali reported that the Apostle of Allah said, "There is in Paradise a market wherein there will be no buying or selling, but will consist of men and women. When a man desires a beauty, he will have intercourse with them." - Al Hadis, Vol. 4, p. 172, No. 342.A man asked the Prophet : 0 Prophet of God, will the inmates of Paradise have sexual intercourse ? He said: Anybody among them will be given sexual strength of seven, persons among you. The Prophet said : An inmate of Paradise will have five hundred hurs, four thousand unmarried women and eight thousand widowed women. Each of them will keep embracing him for the duration of his whole worldly life time. He also said: There will be markets in Paradise in which there will be no buy and sale, but there will be men and women. If any man will wish to have sexual intercourse with a woman, he will do at once. The Hurs will sing in Paradise on divine purity and praise-we are most beautiful Hurs and we are for the honoured husbands.", Al Ghazzali, "Ihya Uloom Ed-Din (The Revival of the Religious Sciences) Vol. 4", Death and Subsequent Events 4303.Each time we sleep with a Houri we find her virgin. Besides, the penis of the Elected never softens. The erection is eternal; the sensation that you feel each time you make love is utterly delicious and out of this world and were you to experience it in this world you would faint. Each chosen one [i.e. Muslim] will marry seventy [sic] houris, besides the women he married on earth, and all will have appetizing vaginas.Al-Itqan fi Ulum al-Qur'an, p. 35 "Abu Umama narrated: "The Messenger of God said, 'Everyone that God admits into paradise will be married to 72 wives; two of them are houris and seventy of his inheritance of the [female] dwellers of hell. All of them will have libidinous sex organs and he will have an ever-erect penis.' " - Sunan Ibn Majah, Zuhd (Book of Abstinence) 39

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

If this website is hostile to Islam and works to spread misconceptions about it in order to distort its image and make the Muslims doubt their religion, then it is not trustworthy, and it is not permissible for a Muslim to visit it or read its content except for a sound purpose. For instance, those who have profound Islamic knowledge may do so in order to respond to these misconceptions and defend Islam, because if one visits this site without having profound Islamic knowledge, he may be influenced by it and thereby deviated from the straight path; so one must be headful of this.

Since this site is not reliable, then it cannot be trusted as to the issue of accurately conveying from Islamic sources without distortion. Moreover, all the mentioned Ahadeeth are inauthentic: some of which are inauthentic, some of which are very inauthentic, and some are not even found in any of the reliable books of the Sunnah. Therefore, they are not susceptible to be used as evidence. In addition, some of them contain obscene and vulgar words that cannot be uttered by a dignified man, let alone being said by a Prophet to whom revelation comes from Allah.

On the other hand, the fact that the Hoor are the wives of the people of Paradise and that they are one of the greatest enjoyments is a matter that is confirmed by the Quran and the Sunnah and the consensus of the Muslim scholars. They are a matter of the unseen, which we cannot discuss except with a definite Islamic text.

In conclusion, we would like to draw your attention to the two following matters:

Firstly, not all that is mentioned in the books written by Muslim scholars can be taken for granted; rather, such reports are subject to the study of its chain of narrators according to the rules mentioned by the Muslim scholars themselves. Studying the chain of narrators is a science which distinguishes the Muslim nation over all other nations.

Secondly, one must beware malicious sites that spread their poison (doubts and misconceptions), and if they encounter a heart that is empty from Islamic knowledge, they would certainly affect it and hence the person would not find a way of ridding such poison.

Allah knows best.
