Ridding a Citizenship from a Non-Muslim Country

Question

I have questions concerning the citizenship of a foreign disbeliever´s country. I am living in Germany and because I have been born here I have the turkish citizenship and the german citizenship without doing anything from my part. Now I am using my german identification card.My questions are: 1. Is it allowed to delay my switch on turkish citizenship or I am obliged to hasten to do it because 2014 the laws changed. Before 2014 the children which have parent with a german citizenship and a parent with foreign citizenship had got the oppurtunity to delay their choice until they are 24 and now this children can keep both citizenship. Can I wait until I am 24 for choosing the turkish citizenship because in this time I am not obliged to sign anything to accept their democrazy. (keeping both citizenships has the use of voting in both countries and choosing the lesser evil)2. I do not remember signing a contract where I accept democrazy or something else to get the german citizenship, maybe because I am born here and my father has the german citizenship too. So is it allowed to keep the german citizenship because I probably will not sign something to get it because I already have it and there is the fear that if I accept the turkish citizenship as my one and only citizenship I need to sign a contract accepting the laicism of turkey hence turkey is not a country ruled by the shariah.3.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

First of all, we ask Allah to help you to act righteously.

You are not obliged to get rid of the citizenship that you mentioned nor to replace it with other citizenships.

What some contemporary scholars said about obtaining the citizenship of a non-Muslim country, is about endeavoring to obtain such a naturalization and such citizenship at the first place, and not about the one who already has this citizenship.
