Can I join a person in prayer (after Imam has finished the prayer) if he is in Rukoo or Sujood position?

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

We have already issued Fatwa: 89584 about the permissibility of praying behind a person who is making up a missed part of the prayer, so please refer to it.

There is no difference whether you join the person who is preceded in prayer in a standing, bowing, or prostrating position; it is permissible to join him in any position.
