Question
I work in a construction company. My question is that there is a Pilipino man working here in my company and he wants to convert to Islam. I took him to the mosque for prayers and also I gave him the book about how to do prayer. The book shows how to pray only. So I gave him the book and I also pray that he converts to Islam and accept Allaah as his God and Prophet Muhammad, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam.
Can you please tell me that will Allaah give me some reward for this and also can you please advise me that does Islamweb your centre provides books in English for new Muslim, if so do you charge money for the books.
Also I need some Surah to recite for praising Allaah. Please advise me what to do in order to convenience the man to accept Islam.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
Indeed you have done a great work as you have saved a person from Hellfire. Calling a person to Islam and teaching Islam are the most encouraged acts in Islam. For details, please read to Fatwa: 84844.
As for books, we suggest that you and this man visit the following centres, and you will find scholars there in various languages who spread Islam. You will even find literature, cassettes and other required material in various languages free of cost.
