Supernatural acts done by non-Muslims and dissolute people

Question

Is it correct to say that the non-Muslims and dissolute people may be able to do supernatural acts?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.

Supernatural acts may be done by a Muslim or a non-Muslim, like, for instance the Antichrist who will perform certain supernatural acts at the end of time even though he is a disbeliever who claims divinity. It is narrated that he would order the ruined land to bring forth its treasures, then, it emerges and follows him. He would order the sky to rain and it would do so. He would pass by the people but they would not believe in him, then, he would leave them suffering from drought and loss of wealth. He would kill a man, cutting him into two halves; then when he calls him, he would come to life again. There are many other supernatural acts that he will be able to do as a test and tribulation for mankind.

Many dissolute people were seen flying or walking over the surface of water, then it was realized that they did so by the help of the Jinn in return for their disobedience to Allaah The Almighty. Such matters are known and have been confirmed by scholars in the past.

Allaah Knows best.
