Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

If the reality is as mentioned in your question then you have to pay the expiation of your felony to the victim or his guardian. The expiation of gouging an eye is half the blood money of the victim's blood money. And the expiation of gouging both eyes is full blood money of the victim. If the child was a male, Christian or Jew, then you have to pay him half of the blood money of a Muslim against gouging both eyes and one-forth of a Muslim's blood money against gouging one eye. The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) judge that the blood money of the People of the Book is half of the blood-money of a Muslim. [Ahmad and An Nasaa'ee]

The blood money of a male from the People of the Book is half that of the blood money of a Muslim.

There is no disagreement among the scholars that the expiation of gouging both eyes is full-blood money and half the blood-money in gouging only one eye.

Allaah Knows best.
