Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

If this marriage took place while fulfilling the conditions of a correct marriage, the most important of which are the consent of the guardian and the presence of two witnesses, then it is a correct marriage. For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 83629.

It could be understood from the question that the marriage took place without the presence or consent of your guardian; if this is the case, it is an obligation to conduct the marriage contract again with the consent of the guardian or his deputy.

As regards making the marriage public, then this is something desirable and if there is a need for hiding it [from the general public] then this is permissible.

Concerning being protected against magic, evil eye and the like, then please refer to Fataawa 85883 and 84498.

Allaah Knows best.
