The Quran was not revealed by other than Allaah

Question

assalaam alaikum, how do we reply to those who say to muslims, That the miracles of quraan, the scientific facts might have been revealed by advance race of aliens. rather than allaah how do we reply to them?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

Indeed, those who claim that without knowlege are saying a thing which is just an illusion. However, not every claim is accepted. So, our answer to them is what Allaah Says (which means): {“Produce your proof, if you should be truthful.”}[Quran 2:111]

Since it is Allaah who revealed the Quran, and He clarified that it is His Revelation and that it was descended from Him, so how can one of His creation come and say that it is not Allaah’s Revelation and that its origin may be some alien creatures and the like? Allaah Says (what means): {Say, [O Muhammad], “The Pure Spirit [i.e. Gabriel] has brought it down from your Lord in truth to make firm those who believe and as guidance and good tidings to the Muslims.”}[Quran 16:102] Allaah also Says (what means): {He sends down the angels, with the inspiration [i.e. revelation] of His command, upon whom He wills of His servants, [telling them], “Warn that there is no deity except Me; so fear Me.”}[Quran 16:2]

The Quran does not only include miraculiousness of scientific facts, but it includes many other aspects of miraculiousness; among which are eloquence, rhetoric, beautiful style, and giving us news of the matters that happened at the beginning of the world, the unseen that will take place in the future and which can only be known by revelation.

The enemies of the Quran have tried to refute it since the beginning of its revelation; however, their attempts were in vain. On the contrary, some of them praised it and testified that no human could have said it. Indeed, the books of the Prophet's biography reported the statement of Al-Waleed ibn Al-Mugheerah which reads: “I swear by Allaah, indeed, the Quran has sweetness, and it is covered with elegance, its top is indeed fruitful, and its bottom is abundant (and beautiful) and no human could ever have said this.

And he said to his people: “I swear by Allaah, there is no man amongst you who is well-versed in poetry like me, and no one knows its (poetry’s) lyrics nor its poems more than me, and (no man knows more than me) about the poetry of Jinn, but I swear by Allaah there is nothing that resembles what he [the Prophet] says in all of that.

Besides, among what proves that the Quran is revealed by Allaah is that Allaah made it easy for remembrance; Allaah Says (what means): {And We have certainly made the Quran easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?}[Quran 54:17] Millions of people have read it and memorized it, at every era and age, the young and the old, men and women, the youth and the elderly, and the Arabs and non- Arabs.

Also, Allaah protected its written form as He protected it in the hearts of the people; no one over the ages could take out one letter from it or add one letter to it that is not from it.

Al-‘Ayni may Allaah have mercy upon him mentioned in his commentary on Saheeh Al-Bukhari that some Christian scholars asked Muhammad ibn Wadhdhaah: “Why is it that in your book [i.e. the Quran] O Muslims, there is no addition nor subtraction, whereas our book is otherwise?" He answered: "Because Allaah entrusted the protection of your book to you as He Says (what means): {Indeed, We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light. The prophets who submitted [to Allaah] judged by it for the Jews, as did the rabbis and scholars by that with which they were entrusted of the Scripture of Allaah, and they were witnesses thereto.}[Quran 5:44] As Allaah entrusted your book to a creature, it was subjected to deficiency, however, but in our Book; Allaah Says (what means): {Indeed, it is We who sent down the message [i.e. the Quran ] and indeed, We will be its guardian}[Quran 15:9]."

Allaah Knows best.
