Question
My husband works for an oil company, which provides free health care for him and his family at a specific clinic. This service is not provided through any sort of insurance company. Also, keeping in mind that this clinic is financial maintained by all oil companies and that only employees of these companies and their families have access to the clinic. What is the position of Shariah on this matter?
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
There is no harm in accepting the mentioned free health care of the company since it is a gift of the company to its workers and their families.
