Shortening someone's name
I have a wife named Malika, and I call her Malik for short. Is it permissible to call her by this name? I heard that the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ʻalayhi wa sallam,used to call ʻAa'ishahʻAa'ish,or is this a name which is exclusively for men?

Children can perform prayer movements without ablution

Naming boy ‘Rahmaan’ and girl ‘Ilaaha’
Assalaamu alaykum. We know that using the name Ar-Rahmaan is forbidden, but is it permissible to call a person just Rahman without the definite article 'Ar'? Attributing a child to the grandfather's name or the mother's name
Is it compulsary to name a son after the father's name? In india/pakistan, we give the family name to the son and not the father's name. For example, a father named Saajid Mohammed names his son Waajid Mohammed. Mohammed is his father's name while the father's name Saajid is not added to the name.
